Coupons and Contest!

Hello!

So, if you follow me on facebook, you'll have noticed that I am running a contest this week.  It is a referral contest, so you tell your friends about my facebook page (www.facebook.com/thekissesboutique), they 'like' my page and tell me you sent them, and you win! :)  The person who sends the most people to my page wins a free crochet beanie!  This includes, but is not limited to, bear hats, aviator hats, newsboy caps, pigtail hats, mohawk hats, bunny hats, spring fling beanies...  So, send your friends to win a hat!

Next up, I'm also offering a 10% off a purchase coupon to celebrate the arrival(?) of spring.  Although we are a bit teased here in Minnesota with the delivery of 12+" of snow yesterday... I'll call it spring anyway.  The coupon code is: SpringSale.  Just enter it at checkout!  Woohoo!

And lastly, all of my Recycled Sweater Mittens have been reduced $10 to also celebrate the arrival (again, ?) of spring!  So, originally $28, they are now $18.  These mittens are one-of-a-kind, warm, adorable and inexpensive!  Check them out!

Alright, back to work! :)

Back at it!

Phew!  What a busy few days!  We had company in town from Thursday-Sunday this week, so I haven't had much time to update.

I am lucky enough to have a most fabulous husband who stayed home with the boys on Saturday while my friend Clair and I ran to the yarn shop and the fabric store.  Have I mentioned how much I LOVE homespun yarns?  Seriously I could go crazy in a yarn shop.  Self-control, self-control, self-control! :)  We also picked up all the materials for me to make a custom playmat for Clair's daughter!  I'm so excited to get to work on that!  Its going to be fun and beautiful!

I also got caught up on some crochet projects in the last couple days, some bunny hats, headbands and I even made time to work up a few new patterns.  My plan is to get all my pictures taken of these projects today and hopefully even get them listed!

We also had a product shoot on Saturday with the talented Melinda of Melinda Elin Burg Photography.  Those images aren't up yet, but you can bet the minute they are, I'll be sharing them!

On today's agenda is some bunny ears to start, and then product pictures and listing.  After that, hopefully I can squeeze in another of my new ribbon tutus!

Have a great day everyone!

Ooooh, new projects!

So, I've had some requests and orders for things that I haven't done before, recently.  Today, I undertook one of those projects--the hooded baby towel!  Its coming out even better than I'd hoped, especially considering I hadn't tried it before!

I'm hoping to start another new project yet tonight, too.  Its a tutu, but reworked and restyled.  :)  Its ultra froofy, with a ribbon edging that is swirly and curly and perfect for any little (or big!) lady in your life!  Can't wait to start that one!

I'm hoping to get some pictures uploaded tomorrow!

Brainstorms and Headbands

So, yesterday I had an epiphany.  I decided that in my new adventure of Fabric Rosette Headband Making, I would create them in collections.  I was feeling as though my ideas were awesome, but a little helter-skelter.  Plus, I've been coming up with all sorts of fun names for the various styles, and I want to use them all!

Last night, work began on a collection I'm calling The Farmer's Daughter.  I love it!  Its fun and girly, while giving a throw-back to my roots as a small-town farmer's daughter.  This collection is all denim, red and blue.  I can't wait to finish it up and share them with everyone!

Hi and Welcome!

Hello!

I've decided to start this blog mostly to journal about all the projects I'm working on, but also to share patterns, tips and tricks, and even do some giveaways!

I'm so enjoying all the crafty projects I've been doing.  My latest works are the fabric rosette headbands.  Those are really fun for me because I get to have complete creative freedom with them.  I still really enjoy my crochet projects, though, and creating something new with different fabrics is always exciting, too!  I love to see how the finished product comes up and I love to share photos of my work!

So, here we go!  My blogging adventure begins!
